Mun-mun is TWO years old!!

Mun-mun is 2 today and it seemed like only yesterday she was a little baby! Time flies...
Some milestones:
  • She weighs about 10.8kg and is about 81 cm tall.
  • She is diaper free, does not drink formula milk and occasionaly drinks fresh milk from her cup
  • She likes rice + soup/steam egg, fried fish/chicken, roti prata, fried noodles (certain stalls), Crystal Jade porridge, Din Tai Fung fried rice & thousand layer cake, fries, peas, corn, carrots, most cakes, ice cream, udon, corn sushi, chawanmushi, yakult, Meiji strawberry yoghurt, strawberries, blueberries, apples & my muffins - mainly blueberry muffin and fresh from the oven
  • She can recognise alphabets (A to Z) but she can't recite in order. When she sees an alphabet, she will say it's sound and what it is for (eg, D, 'duh', dog).
  • She can recognise numbers (0 to 10) but can only recite certain order.
  • She can recognise some shapes and colours
  • She will now try to associate numbers/colours to objects - like 'black cat', 'two dogs', 'red heart', 'pink shoes'
  • She can't express herself to us - she can't/won't tell us she is hungry or wants to go to the toilet
  • She is sort of addicted to iPad and iPod :S
  • We can't get rid of her pacifiers!

Anyway, I believe each child is different - they have their own way of learning things and own interest. They also have their own pace of growing up, so we should just let things fall into its own place, naturally. For the record, I did not wean her off milk or toilet train her to be diaper free - she just wanted to be like that on her own!

Happy 2nd Birthday, my darling!

Mun playing with one of her presents - she thought this ducky is Ming-ming from Wonder Pets.

Her birthday lunch @ Ichiban Boshi - she had udon and corn + tamago sushi. Not many photos taken as it was quite tight at the booth...

With another present - a cat coin bank

And another cake! Elmo cake from Polar Cakes (courtesy of Pek-pek)

This time, she could blow the candles!

We were more excited than her - she was a bit distracted as we were so noisy cheering when she blew the candle

We light the candles up again to let her blow...

What present did we get for her?

Choo-choo train! She was always excited when she saw this train set in the IKEA magazine, so we decided to get this for her birthday (her birthday dress is more expensive than this train set :S)

Actually, it seems like she just like the tunnel...

Ava and Mun-mun's Birthday Party

Getting ready for the party...

Mun-mun changed into her birthday dress :)

Once she got a present, she would look for me to open it for her - on the spot! She couldn't wait!

Baby Leeann first time to Queens!

Birthday girl Ava with Gong-gong

Mun enjoying Magnum

Getting ready for triple celebration - Mun is 2 (23rd Jan), Ava is 3 and Darren is 21 (both 22nd Jan)!

Mun tried to blow the candles but she couldn't!

Ava had no problem with her candles :)

Mun's cake - from Awfully Chocolate. Cupcake + muffins - homemade by me

Ava's cake

I made some cupcake + muffins for Darren as well. He'll be having a 21st birthday party in the evening with his friends - I bet he'll have a HUGE cake!

Some of Mun's presents!

Thanks all!

In the evening, we sent off Po-po and Kau Foo, who are going to Melbourne for the Australian Open.

We brought Mun2 for 'choo-choo train' ride (skytrain) from T1 to T2. Whenever she sees a train she will say 'choo-choo, Choo-Choo, CHOO-CHOO train!'
