... day at the art museum
It's International Museum Day, so we thought it would be interesting to visit the Singapore Art Museum and a nice outing for us. I was a bit worried about how long we could be there, depending on the girl's mood. I was so surprised that she loved it! She was really happy the whole time there :) She particularly liked the paintings (not so much of the photos, installation art, sculpture etc) - she 'talked' and smiled at the paintings! Too bad we were not allowed to take photos in the galleries ^_^

... lunch at Sun with Moon @ Central
We had lunch at Sun with Moon at Central. Even though we booked a week earlier, there was only outdoor seating available. It was so hot that day! Mun-mun was drenched in sweat sitting in her pram throughout our lunch. Eventually she got aggitated and angry - she cried so loud! Luckily it was towards the end, so we quickly had desserts and left hastily - not before we snapped some photos :)

... Mother's Day lunch at Shashlik
We were at Orchard Road again. We had lunch at Shashlik to celebrate Mother's Day with my mom. We had the usual Borsch soup, chicken chop, shashlik beef, lamb...and a special baked alaska, which I forgot to take a photo of. It was this sponge cake with ice cream, covered with meringue and FLAMES - the cake was kind of like on fire.
The place was quite packed - kids running around, trolleys (they used huge trolleys to bring and serve the food), the tables and chairs were quite near as well, not to mention the place was quite crowded. It was also noisy- mainly contributed by Ryan and Co. Mun still managed to sleep a while amidst all these!

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!
Mun and daddy cheekily made a card for me, using her handprint and his thumbprint - the sizes are about the same! It is a messy card, but I still like it ^_^

... dinner at Tang Dian Wang for Mother's day
We celebrated Mother's day with my mother-in-law tonight as she will be going back to Kuantan the next day. We wanted to have vegetarian as it was Vesak Day at Orchard Shopping Center (where Sakura is) but the restaurant was no longer there! So we went to Heeren which was nearby and there were a number of restaurants at the top level... Altitude dining or something like that.
In the end we chose Tang Dian Wang, which name seemed like a tongue twister to me. It served Shanghainese food. I thought the food there was not bad - quite reasonably priced and the servings quite generous and fast. There was also a $1 promotion for a portion of steam chicken, shanghainese style (as I don't know what it was named) with minumum spent $20 - quite worth it. While we were having rice dumplings, steam chicken, cod fish, fried golden mushroom (like calamari - must try!), noodles - Mun was 'savouring' her fingers :)

... pacifier and handkerchief toy
She tried and tried to eat her pacifier by moving her head up and down ...
... I helped her again ^_^ I couldn't bear to see her struggle :)
------------------------------------------------
A while ago I bought her this toy by Combi - it is like a handkerchief but it can make 'plastic bag sound' when crumpled, it is safe to be bitten by baby's gum, it is made of a few types of material and it is supposed to be easy for baby to grasp. I bought it because Mun likes cloth. One of her favourite past time was to watch us dry laundry, fold clothes and 'baby talk' to clothes near her. When I showed it to my mom, she commented that 'it is not a toy lar... Mun-mun doesn't even like plastic bag sound'.... I forgot that she would be aggitated when we crumpled plastic bags. Anyway, she didn't like the toy at first. But now, it seems like she liked it :) phew~~

... learning to turn
Mun really likes to be on her stomach now.
She looked at us, coyly, willing us to put her lying on her stomach.
Once 'turned', she'd put her fingers and fist into her mouth and smiled at her toys. Maybe she prefered looking at her toys in a different perspective :)

... learning to turn
She always struggle when we put her in her cot now - she keep wanting to turn! She will be very aggitated when she got stuck halfway. Sometimes it seemed like she nearly manage to turn...
Nah...she didn't manage to turn yet. We helped her :)
