... dinner at Guild House, NUS

This was the first time we went to the new NUS Guild House. Eugene booked buffet for all of us which served local food. It was quite busy, crowded and noisy - I'm sure we contributed to some of the noise. After dinner, the kids had fun running around and playing in the lobby.

... dinner at Joe's Kitchen... sort of

We wanted to try Joe's Kitchen that served Thai Food, after my colleagues tried and said it's not bad. So after a lazy Saturday at home, we wanted to go somewhere near our place. After placing our order and Mun had a piece of biscuit, the restaurant blacked out. It wasn't the usual electricity trip, so we have to wait for the electrician to come in 30-45 minutes. We ordered lots of food and we got the stuffed chicken wings as the lights went out. So we were still thinking if we wanted to continue eating there in candlelight or to go somewhere else. In the end, we decided to eat what they had cooked for us so far and we sat outside as there's light at the pavements. We had our chicken wings, FOC honey chicken which someone had ordered and left, pineapple rice and drinks. As we were full from the dishes we had, which were all quite good, we told them to cancel our remaining order. We only paid $11 for all those food and drinks we had. We'll go back next time to try the Tom Yum soup then...

... brunch at Ridout McDonald's

We had brunch at McDonald's... just missed the breakfast menu. I fed Mun as well - she was busy looking around, but she finished her fruit cereal quite quickly and had biscuits after that. She finished her biscuits before I was done with my burger :S It was so hot that we went home after a quick stroll at the pond in front of McD.

... potty training

Nowadays, every morning after Mun wakes up, she will sit on her potty and pees & poos in it. Since she started this routine a few weeks ago, she doesn't poo in her diapers now. It all started when we saw her trying to poo in her diapers but couldn't and cried. When we put her on the potty... (I won't be too descriptive)... it helped! Initially when she sat on the potty, she was more occupied trying to touch her potty than to do her 'business'. Even now, she will still keep trying to touch it...

... hot dog dance

What is 'hot dog dance'? It's the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse ending dance song. Mun's favourite - when she saw it she would kick and flap her arms excitedly - dancing? :)

She will also smile like this when she sees: Mickey Mouse, Murray the Monkey (Child Smart), Cookie Monster, Dr Rosemary Truglio (Sesame Beginning), Dr Robert Titzer (Your Baby Can Read) and newscasters in general.

... Jurong Point and violin 'lesson'

We went to Jurong Point to have a look at the new extension. Even with the additional space, the place was still crowded. We wanted to get something from NTUC, but the cashier's queue was scary. So instead, we had some dessert at a Hong Kong dessert shop, Ji De Chi. I shared with my mom a bowl of steam egg which I quite like. PCA's was a mango dessert with 'Italian grass jelly' - both moms thought the grass jelly looked like leech :S

At night, we went to Queens for a while - Winston and Connie was around and we saw the last few laps of F1 Valencia. As usual, Kau Foo gave Mun her treat of violin - this time, he let her play as well :)

... 7 months old

Mun, enjoying her super-hard rusk.
Food that she eats or tried: rice cereal, pumpkin, broccoli, potato, apple (favourite), pear (favourite), avocado, papaya, carrot, rusk

... Suntec

We had lunch at Crystal Jade Kitchen, Suntec - our usual fare of dim sum. My mom and I happened to topple the 'chilli stand' and spilt green chilli vinegar and chilli oil on Ryan's leg. Poor boy did not panic or complain much.
Getting ready to go out

After lunch, we went to the fountain of wealth to have our photos taken - we really wanted the guy to take our photos and buy the print-outs afterwards. Mom, Koko and Ryan took some shots together and bought 2 pieces! We bought one - notice we were wearing the same T-shirts?
After that, we went to Carrefour for some shopping and then met up with Yin and Kyra. We had tea break at a coffee shop near Toys R Us. To reward Ryan for his good behaviour (he was reeking in vinegar for the whole day), PCA treated him and Kyra for a ride on the virtual roller coaster.

... 3rd injection of 6-in-1

Mun visited Dr Belinda to have her 3rd shot of 6-in-1. She now weighs 8.055kg and is 66cm tall. Like the previous injection, she cried when she had the shot, but once we waved a rattle at her, she stopped crying. She still couldn't roll over, but Dr Belinda said it is OK - in fact, she said it is good as she won't move around :S Anyway, Mun could sit on her own and 'do push-ups' when she was on her stomach, and her legs are quite steady when we make her stand :)

Dr Belinda: Can she wave?
Me: No
Dr Belinda: Can she clap her hands?
Me: No
Me -- :S

In the evening, I brought her for a walk in her stroller - from my house to my mom's house. It was a pleasant walk and took only about 10-15 minutes :)

Queens is still under re-painting work - no swimming pool for a month

... weekend!

This more or less summarised what she did on this weekend - eating Baby Bites biscuit!
On Saturday, we had lunch at Anchorpoint foodcourt. Look at her cool jeans!
This was the first time Mun tried this rice biscuit :) (while we had our lunch)

At night, we went to Vivo. We wanted to eat at Pu Tien but it was SO crowded, so we went to Kim Gary instead.
She had her biscuit again. She finished her biscuit before our food arrived...

On Sunday, we went to Chillis, and again, Mun had her biscuits...

She finished her biscuit really quickly... got to settle for other things after that...

What we had...not biscuit!

In the evening, we went to Hort Park as there was 'GardenTech' - some sort of 'flower show'. But it wasn't - it was lots of stalls selling plants and gardening things :S The park was more interesting ;)
