... KL: Farewell!

The journey back to Singapore was long and hot and tiring as the traffic was quite bad. We made a few stops, the first one at the Ayer Keroh overhead bridge (again). It was such a coincidence that we met Lian's parents and brother & family who were on the way to JB. So we managed to meet little Bernyce as well :)

We made a few more stops, all the highway stops were full of people. There was traffic jam at the Johor causeway as well. It was not until about 9pm that we reached Singapore. Mun was so happy when she was back in her own bed!

... KL : Wedding dinner at Flower Drum Restaurant

06June09: Sze Wei's wedding dinner was at Flower Drum Chinese Restaurant at Jalan Imbi. The place was quite nice and the food was quite good... well, at least for the first few dishes. I managed to sample some suckling pig before we decided to bring Mun back to the hotel. She was crying, uncomfortable and wouldn't sleep and drink milk. Look at her grouchy face! (and her daddy's stressed look .. ha ha)

Either she did not like the noise or she was very tired after 2 days on the go. I went back to the hotel with her and she was a different person back there! She was so happy and we were relieved that she drank her milk straight away. After she was changed into her pyjamas, she could still sit on her chair obediently and watched a bit of TV while I get ready her cot for sleeping. Once I tucked her in, she slept straight away! Poor girl ^_^

... KL: lunch and shopping at Pavilion

06June09 - The afternoon was reserved for meet-the-baby session with our dear Kuantan friends :) We were late as Mun took a long nap after a busy morning. When we reached The Pavilion, the 'gang' was at a Kopitiam waiting for us. After some photo taking, we moved from one eating place to another - a HK Char Chan Teng... I forgot the names of these 2 places :P Anyway, we had fun eating, chatting, waiting for food, passing the baby around (literally) ...

06 June 2009 Morning: The wedding celebration began really early. When we reached the bride's house at 8+am, the groom was already there, stuck at the front door. We could not get in as well as the door was locked for obvious reasons.

Mun was quite OK througout the morning despite being carried by stangers (to her), passed around and the temperature was hot as well. She was captivated by the sight and sound, not to forget all the attention, photo-taking and ang pows that she received :) She didn't sleep and drink milk until after everything was over at the bride's house!

... KL: Dorsett Regency

We stayed at Dorsett Regency for 2 nights. The rooms were good and comfortable. Big enough to fit in all the baby things, which filled up about half of our car boot, not to mention in the car as well! Mun-mun had her own cot which I filled it up with her toys - so that she would feel just like home :) She had no problem sleeping on the cot which was a relief... actually she was too exhausted during the day that I think she could not be bothered!

We had a room on the high floor so we could see a bit of the Petronas Twin Towers.

We made 2 stops on the PLUS highway for toilet break and to stretch our legs. The first stop was at Machap - land of flies... Effort was being made to get rid of the flies and to create a fly-free environment. It was slightly better, but was not good enough for us to sit down for a drink. It was quite hot as well - Mun-mun liked her hankie on her head... he he..

The following stop we made was at Restoran Jejantas Ayer Keroh (overhead bridge restaurant). I changed her nappy for the first time in Malaysia... ha ha... We then had lunch at KFC on the bridge.

After that, on the way to the car, we spotted a photo taking opportunity, too good to be missed!

Mun-mun was more interested on what she saw at the back of this placard - she kept staring at it than looking through the hole.. he he..

... KL: first trip oversea for Jessica!

We were in Kuala Lumpur from Friday, 5th June to Sunday 7th June. It was Mun-mun's first trip out of Singapore! We drove down to KL for PCA cousin's wedding on Saturday. In all, she was considered good throughout the trip. She was very excited during the first two days - sleeping very little! She started to get cranky during the wedding dinner and on Sunday as well. This week, I'll slowly post about the trip, so stay tuned!
